When I was little I clearly remember playing with my dad’s film camera, stunned and excited at how it gave me the possibility to capture those fleeting, special moments in time forever. This is what fired my imagination and passion for photography and to me, is what makes photography so beautiful and magical.
I studied photography for 4 years and I became a professional photographer back in 2004. I became a member of the Royal Photographic Society in the same year.
I have worked professionally on assignments for companies such as Hobbycraft and Bournemouth University and for several years I have been the photographer for the internationally renowned Brownsea Open Air Theatre and for one of the best dance schools in the country, Steppin’ Out Academy of Performance.
I’ve also been lucky enough to photograph a few famous names, such as TV Broadcasters Phil Jupitus and Will Gompertz, Audio Producer Dirk Maggs, BBC Journalist John Sweeney, BBC Broadcaster Felicity Finch and BBC Broadcaster Jane Garvey.
I have won various portrait and landscape competitions and been published both online and in print and I have also been part of large corporate and charity campaigns too.
As well as being a freelance photographer, I’m also a Lecturer and Demonstrator in Animation at Bournemouth University. I teach and demonstrate photography and video acquisition to:
MA Digital Effects
MA3D
MA Cinematography
BA Computer Animation Arts & Design
BA Computer Animation Technical Arts
BA Visual Effects.
Previously I have taught on BA Media Production and various other courses too.
I’m very fortunate to live in the beautiful county of Dorset, which lends itself to outdoor portraiture perfectly, be that beach, forest or urban environments. So depending on what you fancy, there is pretty much every location you can think of here.
I know I have been very lucky with my career so far and this is why I always shoot every assignment and session with as much passion and care as my very first. I really want to give you photographs that you will treasure forever.
Hopefully you will take a look around my site, maybe even read some of the comments on my guestbook if you have time and if you have any questions please feel free to contact me using my ‘contact‘ page.
Thank you so much for taking some time to read about me..
